Bernard Pollard cut by Ravens
Baltimore has released S Pollard, which will save them $1 million in cap space. This is probably another move to try to make room to sign back Ed Reed. (Opinion: The Patriots should sign Pollard)

Wes Welker leaves Brady for Peyton Manning
In an epic series of events, Welker does not sign with the Patriots and goes to the Denver Broncos. There were many reports of drama between the Patriots and Welker, including the Pats low-balling on an offer to Welker. He signed a two year deal worth $12M with the Broncos.
Jake Long’s physical is taking a long time
Jake Long had to take a physical in order to sign with St. Louis, and it seems to be taking a while. Rams trainers want to be sure that they candeal with Long because of his known health issues in the past. If he passes, he will be a St. Louis Ram. If he doesn’t, he will most likely go back to Miami.
Word from the longest physical in the history of physicals: If anything happens with Jake Long and #Rams… it’ll be tomorrow #rest #longpuns

Patriots sign WR Danny Amendola.
Could this be Welker’s replacement? Not long after Welker bolted for Denver, Patriots signed slot receiver Danny Amendola to a 5 year, 31M. This is more money than they could have had Wes Welker back for. This deal is the first Patriots signing of the free agency period (the Patriots silence has broken).
Cliff Avril signs with the Seahawks
A former DE for the Lions, Cliff Avril (with 9.5 sacks and 2 FF last season) was signed by the Seahawks. The deal is valued at $15 million for 2 years. Where are the Seahawks getting all this money?
